Located within the
Great Smoky Mountains National Park, the 4.2 mile Boogerman Trail is
rated easy. With it's trailhead located along
Caldwell Fork Trail, Boogerman Trail leaves Caldwell Fork Trail,
ascends a low ridge before traveling along the mountain slope with only
small elevation change. After reaching a side ridge, Boogerman Trail
descends back to Caldwell Fork. Hiking from Cataloochee Campground
creates a 7.5 mile roundtrip.
To reach Boogerman Trail from I-40, exit at Cove Creek exit and
travel west along NC276 and turn right onto Cove Creek Road. Continue
along Cove Creek Road for 6 miles and turn left onto Cataloochee Road.
Travel 3.1 miles along Cataloochee Road to the trail on the left. |
