Length: 1.2 miles
Rating: Moderate/Strenuous
The trail begins and ends in the Rocky Bluff
Campground. Both termini are signed. Beginning at the trailhead near
campsite #14, the trail descends on an old road through a pine forest to
Spring Creek and follows the stream bank for about 0.5 miles. Watch for
rock walls and other traces of the past where crops and pastures have
given way to trees. It then climbs gradually back to the campground
through white pines planted by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the
1940's. You will pass the trail to the amphitheater, then the
Van Cliff Trailhead on your left. This trail is for hiking only.
