Polk County Tennessee Hiking Trails

Fork Ridge Trail

Pets must be restrained or on a leash at all times while in developed recreation areas.

Located within the Big Frog Wilderness section of Cherokee National Forest, the 1.9 mile Fork Ridge Trail is rated Moderate and begins at Big Frog Trail near Chimney Top and ends at it's junction with Rough Creek Trail

Fork Ridge Trail connects Rough Creek Trail with Big Frog Trail to form a triangle.

Directions:

From the Ocoee/Hiwassee Ranger Station, turn left onto Highway 64, and travel 10.9 miles to Ocoee Power House Number 3. Cross the bridge, follow Forest Service Road 45 for 2.9 miles to Forest Service Road 221. Turn right on Forest Service Road 221, travel 0.9 miles to Big Frog trailhead on the left.
