Cascades National Recreation Trail

| Located within
George Washington and Jefferson National Forests, the 2 mile
Cascades National Recreation Trail ascends the gorge to the 60'
Cascades Falls.
Cascades Recreation Area is situated within the Little Stony Creek
Valley, and is predominantly grassy and shaded by apple and pear trees
as well as native buckeyes, boxelders, and walnut trees. Little Stony
Creek is a native trout stream. |

To reach Cascades Recreation Area, travel along VA 460 to Pembroke and
turn right onto VA 623. Continue along VA 623 for 4 miles to the parking
area.
