Located within
Grayson Highlands State Park, the 1 mile Rhododendron Trail is
available for both hiking and cross country skiing.
Providing access to Mount Roger's Recreation Area and the Appalachian
Trail, Rhododendron Trail is one of the most popular trails in Grayson
Highlands State Park, as it is also the shortest route in the region to
Virginia's highest peak, Mount Rogers.
To reach Grayson Highlands State Park from I-81, exit 45 in Marion
Virginia and turn south onto Route 16. Continue south along Route 16
for 33 miles to US 58 in the community of Volney. Turn right onto US
58 and travel 8 miles to the park entrance. |
