Mount Greylock State Reservation
(Greylock East & Greylock Glen)
The Cheshire Harbor Trail travels from West Mountain Toad trailhead to
Old Adams Road (Moderate 1.0 miles), Cut-off trail to Gould Trail (Moderate
1.5 miles) to Rockwell Road & AT (Strenuous 2.6 miles) to summit via AT
heading north (Strenuous 3.3 miles)
Directions:
Mount Greylock is located in the northern part of western Massachusetts. |

From the east or west: Take the Mass Pike (I-90) to exit 2 in Lee.
Follow Rte. 20 west to Rte. 7 north. Continue north from Pittsfield to
Lanesborough. About 1.5 miles north of Lanesborough center watch for the Mt.
Greylock State Reservation signs on the right. Turn right onto North Main
St. and follow brown state reservation signs, 1.5 miles to Visitors Center.
From Rte. 2 in North Adams, look for the Mt. Greylock Reservation
sign on the left, heading west; or on the right, heading east, just west of
the downtown. Turn onto Notch Road and follow 2.2 miles to reservation
entrance; 9 miles to summit. |
