Traveling through Taconic State Park, Mountain Washington
State Forest and Bash
Bish Falls State
Park, the 15.6 mile South Taconic Trail travels north/south.
Marked with white blazes, South Taconic Trail passes through the
towns of Millerton and Copake New York, and Mountain Washington
and Egremont Massachusetts. Beginning/ending near the Catamount
Ski Area along Massachusetts Route 23, South Taconic Trail's
southern terminus at the village of Whitehouse Crossing in
Millerton New York.
The scenic South Taconic Trail may be broken down into two
sections; the 9.4 mile southern section which travels from Rudd
Pond Farms to NY 344 (steep sections), and the 6.2 mile northern
section which travels from NY 344 to NY 23.
South Taconic Trail is available for both hiking and
snowshoeing.
