This area is comprised of two tracts of land (4,055 and 1,148 acres)
located on the western edge of the county. Forest cover for the area is
predominantly oak-hickory. The larger tract lays along the top of the
Allegheny Front. This tract consists of a relatively flat, rocky mountain
top with laurel thickets and a steep side slope leading to foothills and
associated hollows.
The smaller tract consists of a ridge top with steep hillsides. Wide
areas along the stream and on the ridge presently contain old field
habitat. Camping is not permitted on the area. Owned by WVDNR.
