Grafton County New Hampshire Hiking Trails

Available for hiking, biking,
skiing, snowshoeing, horseback
riding and snowmobiling, the Kluge Trails are located on private
lands which are open to public use. Connecting Dustin, Lockehaven and Kluge Road and Crystal Lake Road, the Kluge
Trails are a network of trails totaling 2.5 miles, and are rated
easy. The Kluge Trails include:
- Dustin Road - Located after passing Sunrise Farm Lane
along Kluge Road, the 0.18 mile Dustin Road is closed in
Spring due to mud , and in Winter due to snow.
- Wind Rock Trail to Dustin Road - Named for the large
granite boulders and the winds which blow there, The 0.5
mile Wind Rock Trail travels to a small pond.
- Overlook Trail - Leading to an overlook through the
trees towards Crystal Lake, the 0.4 mile Overlook Trail
features old pasture stone walls from sheep farming.
- Bear Trail - The 0.4 mile Bear Trail is marked with Blue
Blazes.
- Crystal Lake Trail - Crystal Lake Trail is 0.95 mile
long.
- Wind Rock East Connector - Serving as an alternate route
to Crystal Lake Trail from Dustin Road, Wind Rock East
Connector is 0.15 miles long.
- Crossover Connector - Serving as an alternate route to
Crystal Lake Trail from Dustin Road, Crossover Connectory is
0.17 miles long.
- Trail to Dustin Road - Linking Lockehaven Road to Dustin
Road and Kluge Trails, Trail to Dustin Road is 0.15 miles
long.
To reach Kluge Trails from Route 4 at 4A. Follow 4A for 5.6
miles to Shaker Hill Road and turn left. Travel along Shaker
Hill Road for 1.1 miles to Kluge Road and turn right. Continue
along Kluge Road for 0.4 miles where limited parking is
available along the edge of the road next to Dustin Road.
