Located within
Potter County Pennsylvania, the 48 acre Cherry Springs State Park is
named for it's large stand of cherry trees, but is known for dark, clear
skies. The dark sky, which earned the park the title "International Dark
Sky Park" by the International Dark Sky Association, is popular with
star gazers and astronomers.
Surrounded by the 262,000 acre Susquehannock State Forest, Cherry
Springs State Park offers a variety of recreational opportunities
including camping, biking, picnicking, and educational & interpretive
