Horse-Shoe Trail
The Trail begins at Valley Forge and runs westward to its junction with
the Appalachian Trail on top of Stony Mountain in State Game Lands 211. This
is about twelve miles north of Hershey, PA. The western end of the Trail is
accessible from PA 325 via the AT, a distance of 3.3 miles. This Trail
exists largely through the generosity of individuals who have allowed the
route to cross privately owned land. Many miles also pass through public
park and state game lands. Due care and respect should be accorded both
private and public land by users of the Trail. Motorized vehicles of any
sort are unwelcome and prohibited. |

| Dogs should be on leash at all
times. The Trail is marked with Yellow paint blazes. Side trails to points
of interest are marked with White blazes. Double blazers are an alert to
changes of direction. |
