Old Beaver Dam Road Trail

Ricketts Glen State Park

Named for the old beaver dam that can be seen just off of the trail, this trail makes an excellent loop trail for hikers and cross-country skiers. Access can be made from a small pull-off off of PA 487, or from the Lake Rose parking lot.

This area is actually in Luzerne County, but since some of Ricketts Glen State Park is in Sullivan County, this area will be included here.

Directions:

The park is 30 miles north of Bloomsburg on PA 487. The section of PA 487 from the town of Red Rock to the Lake Jean area of the park is a very steep road. Heavy trailer units should avoid this hill and enter the park by taking PA 487 south from Dushore.
