Croft State Natural Area

Located within
Spartanburg County South Carolina, the 7,054 acre Croft State Natural
Area was once an Army training base. Situated just 5 miles from downtown
Spartanburg, Croft State Natural Area offers a large variety of recreational
opportunities including 12 miles of hiking and
bike trails, more than 20 miles of equestrian trails and 55 stalls,
boating and fishing along it's 2 lakes (including the 150 acre Lake Craig),
a boat ramp,
camping,
group camping, picnicking and a playground. |

To reach Croft State Natural Area from:
- I-85 take exit 78 and travel along Highway 221 to Highway 176.
Follow Highway 176 to Country Club Road and turn right. Continue along
Country Club Road to Highway 56 and turn left. Travel along Highway 56
to Dairy Ridge Road and turn left. Follow signs along Dairy Ridge
Road.
- I-26 southbound take exit 22 and travel east along Highway 296 for
1 mile and turn onto Highway 295. Continue along Highway 295 to
Highway 56 and turn right. Follow Highway 56 to Dairy Ridge Road and
turn left. Follow signs along Dairy Ridge Road.
- I-26 northbound take exit 52 onto Highway 56. Follow Highway 56
for 30 miles to Dairy Ridge Road. Follow signs along Dairy Ridge Road.
