|
Located within the Deep Creek Area of the
Great Smoky
Mountains National Park, Toms Branch Falls is about 80' high.
Hiking an easy 1.6 mile round trip will provide access to not
only Toms Branch Falls, but also Indian Creek Falls. Travel 0.7
miles along Deep Creek Trail to the junction with Indian Creek
Trail, passing Toms Branch Falls along the way. Turn right onto
Indian Creek and continue about 200' to
Indian Creek Falls.
To reach Toms Branch Falls from Bryson City, North Carolina,
travel 2 miles along West Deep Creek Road until entering the
Deep Creek area of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. In
the park continue another 0.75 miles to the parking lot where
the paved road ends. Park your car.
At the north end of the parking lot, past the turn-around
circle, the dirt road continues past a vehicle barrier, at which
point Deep Creek Road becomes Deep Creek Trail. Toms Branch
Falls is located about 0.25 miles along the trail and is a wispy
cascade which tumbles off a cliff into Deep Creek.
