The Fannin Tobacco & Candy Company Building (built in
1900) began as a hardware store and has since been home to a
dry goods store, laundry, beauty salon, wholesale
tobacco and candy store and now Moose Hollow Trading
Company, a home interior store. One of it's most
historically famous times came during the late 1920's
when it was owned my Granny Black Stock. Turning the
downstairs into a restaurant and the upstairs into a
boarding house. Renting cots in the three guest rooms
for 50 cents a night during the 1930's, most of Granny
Black Stock's boarders were CCC workers (Civilian
Conservation Corps).
