Located within the Boulder Ranger District, Saint Vrain Glacier Trail
continues west where
Buchanan Pass Trail #910 makes a sharp switchback to the east 1.5
miles west of the Middle Saint Vrain Trailhead, and 5.3 miles west of the
Buchanan Pass Trailhead on the Buchanan Pass Trail. this junction is also
3.6 miles west of Coney Flats Trailhead and 7 miles west of Beaver
Reservoir Trailhead on Beaver Creek
& Buchanan Pass Trail. |

Saint Vrain Glacier Trail continues
west through Indian Peaks Wilderness for another 3.1 miles to Gibraltar
Lake, at the foot of Saint Vrain Glaciers. The first park is along an old
road, but there are 2 unbridged crossing of Middle Saint Vrain Creek. The
old road ends at a scenic pond with small islands.
Saint Vrain Glacier Trail offers several parking options including
Buchanan Pass Trailhead
and Beaver Reservoir Trailhead for 2WD; Middle St. Vrain Trailhead and
Coney Flats Trailhad for 4WD. |
