Available for hiking and horseback
riding, the 1.8 Sawtooth Trail leaves Sand Creek Trail
and travels west toward Flat Tops Wilderness. With the first 0.2 miles in
open meadow, Sawtooth Trail gradually climbs passing through timber before
entering the wilderness. Descending into the Trout Creek drainage, the
trail passes through patches of dead timber and open ground.

To reach Sawtooth Trail from Yampa Colorado, travel west along CR7/FR900
for 10.6 miles to Coal Creek Road #906. Continue along Coal Creek Road for
1.2 miles to Sand Creek Trail. Travel 3.3 miles along Sand Creek Trail to
Sawtooth Trail.
