Available for hiking and horseback
riding, the 1.5 mile West Lost Lakes Trail heads southwest along the
West Lost Lake drainage as it travels toward the divide. The south shore
of West Lost Lake is reached at 0.8 miles, after which, West Lost Lakes
Trail begins it's final ascent along a series of switchbacks gaining 400'
in 0.5 mile. West Lost Lakes Trail offers 2 access points.

- From Yampa Colorado, follow CR7 and FR 900 west for 15 miles to East
Fork Trail at Stillwater Reservoir. Follow East Fork Trail
for 6.4 to Round Lake. Travel along Lost Lakes Trail for 2.8 miles to
West Lost Lakes Trail.
- Follow CR 17 north and 132 west to Forest Highway 16 to Pyramid Guard
Station (18 miles). Travel along East Fork Trail 3.2 miles to Lost Lake Trail
and continue 2.5 miles to West Lost Lakes Trail.
