| Located within New
River State Park, Campground Spur Trail is 0.25 miles long.
To reach the Visitor Center & Park Headquarters of New River
State Park from I40 and I77 traveling north, to to US 421N. Travel
along US 421 N through Wilkesboro and turn right onto NC 16 N toward
Jefferson.
Continue along NC 16N to NC 88 and turn left. Travel 4 miles along NC 88
and turn right onto US 221/16 north. Travel about 4.7 miles to Tom
Fowler Road and turn right. continue 1.3 miles to the stop sign and turn
left onto US 221. New River State Park is located 2.6 miles along US
