Home to the second highest mountain in Arkansas, a large
portion of Polk County Arkansas is made up of part of the
Ouachita National Forest and the 5,299 acre Cossatot River State
Park-Natural Area. This large area of forested mountains along
with it's many rivers and creeks makes Polk County an outdoor
recreation dream.
Recreational opportunities include hiking, mountain biking,
horseback riding, ATV'ing and canoeing & kayaking.
