Located in the Halfmoon Drainage Area of the Leadville Ranger District,
the 14.8 mile Halfmoon Road (FR 110) begins about 1 mile west of Highway
24 on CR 300 (Fish Hatchery Road) and ends on private land at Champion
Mine.
Halfmoon Road is passable by passenger car for the first 7.1 miles to
the Mount Massive Trailhead,
after which the road becomes a rough 4WD road along the valley floor. |
