Moffat County Colorado Hiking Trails
Desert Voices Trail

Located within Dinosaur
National Monument, the 1.5 mile (loop) Desert Voices Trail begins/ends
at the Split Mountain Boat Ramp which is about 4 miles east of the Temporary
Visitor Center. Desert Voices Trail offers no shade but does offer views of
Split Mountain and several adjacent rock layers.
The Sound of Silence Trail may be
reached from the Desert Voices Trail via a 0.25 mil connector trail.
This trail is actually in Utah, but is being included here because of
it's proximity to Colorado. Dinosaur National Monument is located in Utah
and Colorado. |

To reach Dinosaur National
Monument's Temporary Visitor Center from Dinosaur Colorado travel west along
Highway 40 to Jensen Utah and turn right (north) onto Utah 149 and follow
signs.
To reach Dinosaur National Monument's Canyon Area Visitor Center from
Dinosaur Colorado travel east along Highway 40 for 2.0 miles to Harpers
Corner Road. Turn left (north) onto Harpers Corner Road and take the first
right into the parking lot.
