Located within Dinosaur
National Monument, the 3.0 mile (loop) Sound of Silence Trail
begins/ends about 2 miles east of the Temporary Visitor Center on the Tour
of the Tilted Rocks auto tour road.
Featuring several of Dinosaur National Monument's most interesting rock
layers, the Moderate to Difficult Sound of Silence Trail has some steep
sections on slick rock and offers no shade.
The Desert Voices Trail may be
reached from the Sound of Silence Trail via a 0.25 mil connector trail.
This trail is actually in Utah, but is being included here because of
it's proximity to Colorado. Dinosaur National Monument is located in Utah
and Colorado. |
